My hair is bleach blonde. Almost white.?

I'd kind of like to put a dark streak of hair on one side like Christina Perri's. And I'm scared it'd bleed onto my hair when I washed it. Because my friend's was red and it did that. And I really don't want to spend time washing them separately. So, help? :)
